Between Vaison-la-Romaine, known for its archaeological sites, and the Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, renowned for its antique shops and art galleries, Carpentras provides a rich heritage and secular traditions. Note5/6Par Les Chanterelles - 0312-01-01Das Haus liegt wenige Autominuten ausserhalb von Carpentras in einer ruhigen Villen-Gegend. Die Zufahrt ist nicht so gut zu finden, da die Hausnummern nur mit kleinen Schildchen angegeben sind und es sich um einen unbefestigten Weg handelt.
Die Besitzer sind ausserordentlich freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit und geben gerne Tipps zu Ausflügen und Sehenswürdigkeiten. Das Haus ist der eine Teil eines Doppelhauses. Es gibt mehr als ausreichend Parkiermöglichkeiten innerhalb des umzäunten Anwesens, und man kann mit dem Auto buchstäblich bis vor die Türe fahren um auszuladen. Der Zugang zum Gelände ist mit einem elektrischen Tor gesichert; man kann das Gelände nur durch dieses Tor betreten oder verlassen, muss also immer die Fernbedienung des Tors dabei haben. Die ganze Anlage ist so weitläufig, dass man von anderen Feriengästen kaum etwas mitbekommt, zumal der Sitzplatz vom Zentrum abgewendet liegt. Es gibt eine grosse Pool-Anlage, die jedoch bei unserem Besuch leider noch nicht in Betrieb war. Hierzu wäre ein Hinweis auf der Website nett gewesen (oder haben wir das vielleicht übersehen?).
Das Haus ist einfach und hübsch eingerichtet, die Zimmer sind farbenfroh und einladend gestrichen und ausgestattet auf zwei Etagen. In der Küche fehlt es an nichts. Kann man sich allerdings einmal nicht auf dem grosszügigen Sitzplatz aufhalten, sind die Platzverhältnisse im Haus für maximal 6 Personen beengt. Da es sich um ein altes Haus handelt, das umgebaut wurde, müssen grosse Leute den Kopf einziehen. Das gilt besonders für die Duschen, die nachträglich eingebaut werden mussten und wenig Platz bieten.
Einziger Wermutstropfen: Die beiden Haushälften sind nicht gut schallisoliert. Es gibt verschlossene Verbindungstüren, die zwar hinter Einbauschränken versteckt wurden, dennoch hört man jedes Wort, das auf der anderen Seite gesprochen wird. Je nach Nachbar kann das störend sein.

In unseren Mietbedingungen ist angegeben, dass die Schwimmbaeder generell ab Anfang Mai bis Ende September in Betrieb sind, wenn nichts Gegenteiliges auf der Seite des Hauses vermerkt wurde.
Note5/6Par Les Chanterelles - 0312-01-01Vielen Dank für den tollen Urlaub. Die Gastgeber waren sehr nett. Trotz verständigungsschwierirgkeit haben wir uns ganz gut verstanden. Wir können die Unterkunft weiterempfehlen ... Da wir tolles Wetter hatten haben wir uns vorwiegend draußen aufgehalten. Bei schlechtem Wetter ist die Veranda ein bißchen eng.
Note5/6Par Les Chanterelles - 0312-01-01Sehr nette Gastgeber! Ruhige Lage und private Atmosphäre. Schöner Außenbereich, großzügiger Poolbereich und Terrasse. Da es nur zwei Häuser sind, hat man den Pool meist für sich allein und ist auf seiner Terrasse ungestört. Das Haus ist typisch provencalisch, die Betten sind gut.
In der Küche ist wenig Platz zum Kochen. Für sechs Personen reichen Ess- und Wohnplatz nicht aus.

Das Haus dagegen war sehr enttäuschend. Völlig lieblos eingerichtet. Die Küche und das Schlafzimmer unten verbreiten die Atmosphäre von Kellerräumen. Die Ausstattung der Bäder ist schon recht seltsam.
Von drei Wohnungen, die wir in diesem Urlaub hatten, war diese die teuerste und schlechteste Wohnung. Auch im Vergleich mit Erfahrungen aus früheren Jahren, war dieses Domizil eine schlechte Wahl

Our opinion : A pretty dwelling geographically well-located to spend an enjoyable holiday full of discovery, taking advantage of the wonderful shared facilities: swimming pool, Jacuzzi, pétanque strip, table tennis table and table football, all at a reasonable price for the region.

The semi-detached gîte has a 400 m2 private garden, a terrace with a table to eat in the shade of the reeds and a garden room to read or enjoy an aperitif. You enter the property via the veranda, which has a sofa and acts as a lounge, leading to the kitchen where you can enjoy your meals. Still on the ground floor, there is a bedroom with a large double bed, comprised of two single beds which can be separated . The room has an integrated shower room with a WC. On the first floor there is a further bedroom with a large double bed, consisting in two separable single beds, and another bedroom with a double bed, both sharing a shower room with a WC.
