Valréas, an important city for the Pontifical States, has retained its rich heritage from the past to visit, as well as the cardboard and printing museum. Vaison-la-Romaine, 23 kilometres away, a very interesting archaeological town with its markets, an image of Provençal identity - a true must-see in the Haut-Vaucluse.

Our opinion : For wine lovers, the region is heaven. But also for cyclists with the ascent of the mythical Mont Ventoux pass (50km) and for hikers the 12km circuit on foot of the papal boundary markers in the Enclave of the Popes, which departs from Valréas's town centre. Welcome to the country of flavours (truffles, Nyons olives...) and fragrances (fields of lavender) in a peaceful farmhouse, not overlooked by anyone.

On a non-enclosed 3,000m2 plot at the entrance to the property, four cars can be parked among the recently planted olive trees. The beautiful exterior terrace which adjoins the kitchen will allow you to enjoy your meals as a family or among friends. It is sheltered from the sun by a majestic, one-hundred-year-old plane tree. The pool house, which is on the left hand side of the farmhouse, has a lounge area to relax in and an eating area. The beautifully dimensioned swimming pool, with three steps across the whole width, is salt-treated, heated from beginning of May to mid-October, and offers a relaxing view of the vine yards. A pétanque strip will enliven your evenings before it's time for an aperitif.

Inside

As in times past, you enter the house through the kitchen, a real living room, in which you immediately feel comfortable. It has direct access to the pool house. Behind the kitchen is a master bedroom with king size bed and integrated shower room as well as a separate toilet. On the right side, the TV lounge has a wood burning stove with central heat distribution. At the back of the living room is the laundry room, a separate toilet, a shower room, a bedroom with 2 single beds and a bedroom with a large double bed and an ensuite- bathroom with toilet. The upper floor has 2 bedrooms each with a large double bed, one with an integrated shower room and toilet and the other with an integrated shower room. The villa has underfloor heating and ceiling fan- lamps in all bedrooms and on the mezzanine which leads to the rooms.
