Only 10 minutes of the Roman and medieval Vaison-la-Romaine and 1/4 hour from Nyons, the olive capital, on the heights of the pretty village of Mérindol-les-Oliviers is set this spacious and comfortable house recently built with views overlooking the surrounding vineyards. You are on the edge of the Drôme and northern Vaucluse, in the Rhône Alpes region. Avignon, Orange with their summer festivals and their beautiful historical monuments are less than an hour. The region is full of opportunities for excursions in the vineyards of the Cotes du Rhone, the Dentelles and the lavender fields of the Baronnies. Distinguished by UNESCO, the "Giant of Provence", the Mont Ventoux, reigns supreme for sport bike or walking.
This great new house facing South dominates the vineyards of the Cotes du Rhone. The large pool has a water treatment with salt (no chlorine). It is heated and secured with a roller shutter. The sunbeds with individual sunshade each and comfortable garden furniture settle around the terrace garden where reigns calm, rest and beautifully view over the valley, the Mont Ventoux and the village. The carport is for 2 cars.
The stone staircase accesses a large covered terrace of 430 sqft. On the side is another terrace adjoining the kitchen. Two pretty tables allow to take your meals while appreciating the gorgeous view. For your grill, you have a top-of- the range barbecue.
On the garden level, facing the pool, there is a bedroom with access from outside. It is equipped wiht a double bed and a shower room with WC. Under the stairs, a large room for storage is available and this level is also featured with a baby foot.
The first floor distributes a large room including an American kitchen equipped with the latest technology, a large table and chairs for dining, a seating area with a comfortable leather corner sofa facing a large flat screen TV. Two large French windows open onto the terrace. The pivoting design woodstove is centrally located. For your convenience, a separate laundry and separate toilet complete the amenities of this floor.
On the 2nd floor, a corridor leads to three bedrooms. Righthand two bedrooms with large double bed share a shower room and toilet. For the bedroom lefthand with two bunk beds and a single bed there is also a shower and toilet.

The final cleaning of € 150 is included in each rental rate below. The rental amount specified in the tenancy agreement does not include the final cleaning payable upon arrival.

Very nice villa with a great view. Very calm location, but a good starting place to explore the area.
The house is well-equipped and the swimming pool is very well maintained.

Excellent villa. Bright, comfortable and spacious living space with very well equipped kitchen on raised ground floor with lovely views of vines, olive groves and mountains. We were too early for pool and although bright sun it was too cool in late March to sit out much so we used the interior a lot and were very satisfied.
Clean , bright bedrooms with comfortable beds and good showers Fact that one bedroom and shower room is on lower ground floor with external access to rest of house was no problem for us but should be mentioned in the literature.
The arrangements for arrival and handover with Alouisia worked fine.
The house is one of about a dozen on the same wooded hillside but so well positioned that it is not overlooked and has uninterrupted views. This may change slightly if a plot lower down the slope is developed.
Would warmly recommend and would consider renting again.

COMMENTS PVS : It has been noted in the General description that the bedroom on the garden level in front of the pool has an external access.
