We had a wonderful two week holiday, the house is well looked after and the swimming pool is excellent. The house is nice and private and the pool is within sight and earshot of the kitchen and patio area so the kids could play whilst we relaxed. We had a great time the owner recommended a fantastic (if a little pricey) restaurant Au Chantier in La Ciotat. you are close enough to a variety of good beeches our favourite was the little beach at Port D' Alon which has plenty of parking and is very picturesque. Great Holiday thanks very much, Peter.Peter G.
This is our second visit to Les Palmiers and once again it did not disappoint. The views are stunning and the property is very well maintained. If there is one thing that I would improve is to install air conditioning. There are free standing fans in the bedrooms but this year the temperatures were very high and air conditioning would have made the evenings more comfortable. Having said that, we would still return and would thoroughly recommend the apartment.
In old town Le Cannet you will find several restaurants but no shops but if you head further down the hill you will find a bakery, butcher's and fishmongers along with a small Casino supermarket. Buses also operate regularly into Cannes costing 1Euro.
Claude who looks after the property was once again very welcoming and helpful.
Look forward to coming back for our 3rd visit
The villa was fantastic and we had a lovely holiday. The owner was very welcoming and friendly. We'd certainly go back.
Thanks for all your help.
It would be good to provide cushions for the sun beds at the pool
airco would be nice to , nights were tough with 27 degrees at night....
But mainly a very nice, spacious house in a good neighbourhood, we had a very good vacation .
We had a perfect time in violes.
The reception and the expletation tour was good and clean.
Even the midweek cleaning was good.
The house is in a beautiful location and has everything that you would need for a week. It had the best equipped kitchen that we have ever used. It was really clean, modern bathrooms etc but had so much character. It felt like a home and not a rental property. Pool was brilliant and children spent the whole week in the pool.
There was loads there for children, toys, bats, cutlery, high chair etc
The owner was great when we had a few issues. The landlady also was very welcoming.
Only drawback on location was that it was 30mins to big supermarket and for children activities but we didn't actually feel like leaving. Village had good bakery.
The only other thing we wanted to highlight, is that the house felt like it had too much good quality items / personal items stuff and we worried with the children and for future people renting who may not take so much care. e.g wine accessible!
It was best house we have ever rented and there have been a few!
Nice villa with lovely garden and good swimming pool. We really enjoyed our stay there and would love to come back in the following years.Jakub W.
Lovely house and garden with big swimmingpool. Great for barbecue evenings. Bathrooms and bedrooms well cleaned. Bedroom under the roof very hot in summer. Swimmingpool well mantained. Landlady very friendly but only speak french.
COMMENTS PVS: 1 room has AC, in the house are 3 fans. The landlady mandated a replacing person for this checkin, she had to leave urgently. Therefore this person only spoke French.
The villa was very clean and everything we needed was there including starter pack of food although a dvd player would be welcome .
The pool and pool house were great a huge hit with my children along with fabulous views across to luberon hills. Terrace was great to sit and have breakfast
The only down side to pool was there were no umbrellas or sun shades over sun beds so not able to sit out by pool until later in the afternoon on hot days.
We would certainly consider returning to villa as it was very nice and owners were very helpful and welcoming.
We had a great holiday and I have already passed on details to a friend so thanks very much.
We very much enjoyed our stay in Le Mas des Collines. The villa, situated in a quiet and spacious area, is very comfortable. There are various terraces and a splendid swimming pool, all in a beautiful garden. From the villa and the terraces there are stunning views on Uzes. We also very much liked the tennis court. We brought are own tennis rackets and balls, but there were also rackets and balls in the villa, as well as materials to play table-tennis. The owner is very friendly and puts a lot of effort to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We definitely recommend this villa!Sagasser S.
Our group of 3 adults and a 4 year old boy stayed in the house for a week in October 2016 and we would thoroughly recommend it. It was too cold for swimming so the pool was empty but we wandered in the woods and played petanque on the terrace. A car is essential for a stay here but the house is close to the lovely town of Uzes and the Pont du Gard and also an easy drive to Arles, Avignon and Orange. We spent quite a lot of time at Roman sites ! The house is very well equipped for a stay, with lovely furniture, a great kitchen and a laundry. Our family of 2 adults and child stayed in the 2 bedrooms downstairs while our friend stayed in a room upstairs. The house is very spacious so our friend had his own bathroom and plenty of space to himself. We would definitely recommend staying at this property. It was absolutely lovely and we had a beautiful holiday there !
Generally we were very pleased. However, there are just two points to bring to your attention.
!. We were a party of 6 people. One group (of two people) arrived during the day and were able to make contact with Mdme. Norblin who gave them directions to the property. The second group ( of four people) arrived mid-evening and were unable to contact the first group. This meant that the second group relied upon the simple address.
Unfortunately, the house number is attached at a height of 6 metres to a telephone pole ~ at night is was impossible to see. Also there is no mention anywhere of the house name "La Verriere".
So ~ it was impossible for the second group to find. Fortunately, one of the first group became concerned at the late arrival and came to the street to look for the others !
I would recommend improving the signage.
2. The internet signal was very, very intermittent in the study and lounge as well as being non-existent in the bedrooms.
Otherwise, we enjoyed out stay.
PVS COMMENTS :
The owners have been noticed to adapt the signage also for tenants who drive without GPS indications, so to enable them to locate easier the property; also they try to make improvements on the Wifi connection.
We absolutely loved this property! Very beautiful setting - private - in the middle of vineyards, yet there are loads of things to do within close driving distance.
The outside area was perfect - where we spent most of our time. We spent hours in the pool, on chairs underneath a shade tree or at the outdoor table. The children loved the swing set as well as the small table and chairs.
The indoor communal spaces were really nicely done. Nice furniture, quite comfy. The kitchen was easy to work in. An extra fridge might be a nice addition as we were constantly devising ways to keep our libations cold! The bedrooms and bathrooms were all very nice. We were a large group and the two houses worked perfectly for us.
The caretaker, Vivian, is lovely. She took care of everything.
We give this place high marks and look forward to returning.
The villa was even more beautiful than on the internet. The owner was very helpful and we had a super time in this villa. All the necessary equipment was there. It was well worth the money.Dominic D.
This is a beautiful house and surroundings.
We particularly enjoyed the large outside spaces around the house.
The owners are very friendly and helpful.
